You are considering to head to South Africa for some flying? After our tour in April 2016 we tried to summarize some of our experiences to help others in their preparation – and to pass on the Africa bug which has definitely caught us along the way!
We have been welcomed warmly not only by the SkyAfrica team in Jo’burg, but also by all the lodge people and rangers we met along the way and had some great time in the air as well as on the ground. High temperatures, high altitudes, short dirt strips, slopy runways…each field is different and adds new challenges….and new adrenaline and pride when finally the perfect landing has been achieved. Needless to say that game drives and a nice cool Gin Tonic at the fire place under a clear sky full of stars added to the holiday feeling and our happiness on this trip. Meine Hochachtung für diese Tour als frisch gebackene Pilotinnen!!!!
Auch ich unternehme jährlich mit Fliegerfreunden eine 10 Tägige Tour. Dabei erflogen wir bis jetzt;
Kroatien – Griechenland – Türkei (Istanbul) – Bulgarien – Rumänien – Ungarn
Italien – Malta – Sizilien – Sardinien – Korsika
Deutschland – Frankreich – Spanien – Portugal – Marokko – Italien
Tschechien – Polen – Littauen – Lettland – Estland – Finnland – Schweden – Deutschland
Mein Traum ist es jedoch mal eine fliegerische Tour kombiniert mit Safari in Afrika.
Könnt ihr mir etwas zu den Kosten sagen???

Auf Eurer Abenteuer Liste fehlt Holland! Kommt uns doch in EHRD einmal besuchen 🙂
Fliegerurlaub ist preislich sicher nicht das Gleiche wie eine Woche Mallorca – aber auch daheim kostet ja jede Flugstunde! Und wenn man das in Relation sieht, ist so ein Abenteuer dann auch “nicht teurer” als die Flugstunden plus eben Urlaubsgeld.
Eine genaue Indikation zu geben ist schwierig, Preise sind abhängig von den Routenwünschen, Flugzeugtyp, Unterbringung und -last not least- Wechselkursen!
Vorteile in SA sind sicher die unkomplizierte Scheinvalidierung, (so gut wie) keine Landegebühren an den kleinen Plätzen, günstiges Re-Fueling….und der Preis des abendlichen Gin Tonics am Lagerfeuer liegt definitiv im Rahmen uns bekannter Supermarktpreise.
Auch für die Safari morgens und abends im Krüger Park kamen bei uns keine Extrakosten dazu. Das ist üblicherweise bereits in der Unterkunft enthalten – ebenso wie Vollpension.
Unser Tip: wende dich mit deinen Ideen und Wünschen an die Flugschule deines Vertrauens. Mit der Hilfe des SkyAfrica Teams haben wir unsere Route und Freizeitaktivitäten wirklich bestens auf unsere Vorstellungen – und unsere Geldbeutel- abstimmen können!
