Born in New Zealand in 1909, Jean moves to the UK when her parents separate. Supported by her mother, she gains her license aged 21 and sets up to break all records for flying between the UK, Australia and later on also New Zealand.  This is the story of a truely amazing woman, not only fighting the skies, but also the prejudices of her days about a woman’s role.
Reading how she fights with the Asian weather will give you goose bumps even though you know she made it alright. An impressive woman with a great pilot attitude, dedication and discovery spirit.
